Lowrance Sponsors 4th Edition of the World Predator Classic
2017 will see the 4th edition of the World Predator Classic competition take place in the historic town of Helleovoetsluis, in the Netherlands from 19th – 24th June. Since the introduction of the event back in 2014 the popularity of the competition has soared. Attracting entries from all over the world, the WPC is now one of the largest predator fishing events globally with Boat, Kayak and Streetfishing categories run simultaneously.
With the event now firmly set as the highlight of the professional anglers fishing calendar, Lowrance, the world's leading brand in fishing electronics is proud once again to be part of this exciting competition.
In addition to sponsoring the WPC, this year Lowrance will also compete in the Boat competition as Team Lowrance Europe. The competition will see over 35 boats take to the water to compete for the coveted Champion's title. Team Lowrance Europe will comprise of two boats Blue Steel captained by Oliver Taylor and Stürmer captained by Ulf Stürmer. Both boats will be fully equipped with Lowrance technology, including multiple New HDS Carbon fishfinders/chartplotters, delivering premium tournamentlevel performance. These units feature a high-performance dual core processor, a multi-touch SolarMAX™ HD screen with the widest available range of viewing angles, a dual channel CHIRP and a Network Dual Sounder, allowing the Lowrance team to switch between applications and simultaneously view independent sonar feeds with ease.
Lowrance products offer a range of features dedicated to professional anglers to help them elevate their performance in the diverse conditions that they may face in an unfamiliar tournament location. StructureScan3D®, is a great example of this, providing anglers with a three-dimensional view beneath the boat, helping them to understand where fish and structure are located in relation to their boat.
With the practice sessions now over and a Personal Best catch under the belt for Oliver, Team Lowrance Europe are confident that their Lowrance kit will set them up for success at the 2017 WPC competition. With their sights firmly set on the 2017 Champions title the team are all set for an exciting week on the water.
